The Bayside High School Team from the Greater New York Region received the Honorable Mention Award in this year’s IHL Action Campaign for their campaign on refugees. Members of the Bayside High School Red Cross Club reached out to their school and community via “teach-ins” that aimed to make refugee issues relevant to participants’ lives. They also conducted surveys, created an Instagram account, and held a bake sale, among other activities. You can read more about their IHL Action Campaign here.
